3D Frame Design

Modified on Wed, 27 May at 11:10 AM

3D visualization is now offered in trial accounts and in our new "Framer & Customers + 3D" plans for small, medium, and large businesses. Please see our 3D demo account here.

You can specify how you want 3D frames to be displayed to users and to customers under Menu -> Settings -> Other Options. The viewer can display 3D frames by default at all times or only when the "3D View" button located below the 2D images is clicked. Since 3D rendering takes more time to load than regular 2D images, some users may prefer to load the 3D frame only once when the design is complete.

For 3D to be offered, profile and side data needs to be specified for each moulding:

Height

The actual moulding profile height.

3D SVG Profile

A 2D path file that acts as a flat template for building 3D shapes. We recommend selecting a tested profile but you may upload and test with custom profiles. Please note that the profiles are resized to the width and height of your mouldings.

3D Side

The side of each moulding can be the same as the face, a system file (when available), a solid color, or a custom image you upload.

For floater frames, additional face and inside details are required:

3D Floater Face image and width

The floater face image required for 3D rendering should include only the top face unlike the 2D image which includes the spacing. It can be a system file (when available) or a custom image you upload. You must also specify the width of the floater face for correct rendering.

3D Floater Inside

The face of the floater profile is applied on the inside by default but you can alternatively specify a solid color or upload a custom image.
